New residential development unveiled for Cheshire West

Regeneration expert Torus has now revealed a major new development based in west Cheshire. Named “The Coppice at Rossbank”, the extensive project will present 130 affordable residences in the town of Ellesmere Port.

A range of two, three and four-bedroom houses and two-bedroom flats, constructed as part of a much larger development, the newly created and affordable residences will be made readily available through the Rent to Buy scheme, shared ownerships and affordable renting.

In constructing a diverse range of homes in terms of tenure and size, The Coppice is designed for a wide selection of potential homeowners, targeting downsizers, families and buyers of their first home.

Head of Sales for Torus, Jeanette Grady, said that Torus is pleased to be constructing more homes in the borough, and she commented that:

“With demand for affordable housing now at an all-time high following the national economic downturn caused by Covid-19, it is vital that we continue bolstering access to options such as these so communities across Cheshire West are able to thrive now and in the future.”

Architects on the Wirral, Ellesmere Port and other parts of Northern England are increasingly being called on to design residential developments that answer the housing needs of local communities. From sustainable solutions that consider the environment to affordable properties, there are many different considerations to account for when drawing up plans.

The Coppice at Rossbank has been developed with longevity in mind, and has scope to evolve and grow with residents’ needs over time.
