We were appointed to deliver the full technical drawing package for the new build home, working closely with the wider project team to ensure the design intent was translated into a clear and buildable set of construction information. The drawings set out a carefully coordinated approach to structure, building regulations compliance and long-term performance, supporting a smooth route through construction and inspection.
Projects of this nature rely heavily on precision and foresight at the technical stage. The Building Control commendation recognises not only the finished home, but the collaborative process and detailed work that underpins it.
The project was delivered in partnership with CB Homes Ltd, whose commitment to quality and craftsmanship is central to the success of the finished building. Their attention to detail on site, combined with a constructive working relationship across the design and delivery team, played a significant role in achieving this recognition.
We would also like to recognise the contribution of Kevin Lawton, our Senior Technician at D2 Architects, who led the technical delivery of the project. His detailed coordination of the construction drawings ensured clarity across all stages, supporting both compliance and build quality. This type of work often sits quietly behind the scenes, but is fundamental to the success of our projects.

Recognition from Local Authority Building Control is particularly meaningful, reflecting rigorous assessment throughout the construction process rather than a focus on appearance alone.
